What is risk management

Risk is the effect of uncertainty on objectives (whether positive or negative).  It is the systematic process of identifying, analysing, treating and monitoring risks associated with any activity, function or process in a way that will enable an organisation to minimise losses and maximise its opportunity.

Ansvar Insurance has adopted the International Standard ISO3100 to assist with the identification and subsequent management of risk.

  • Risk identification is determined by conducting on-site interviews and surveys.
  • Risk assessment is performed using a series of customised tools to help determine the likelihood and the potential consequence of a risk occurence.
  • Evaluating risk by determining priority in line with established goals and objectives.
  • Treatment of risk by providing practical recommendations designed to help avoid (eliminiate), reduce (mitigate), share (insure of outsource), or retain (accept/budget) risk.

We are able to suport our distribution partners and their clients with a range of tools including procedures and templates which can be easily adapted for risk management programs.
